After three sold out years — Gregory Shelton
has once again guided the vision and gathered musicians and vocalists from around the region to celebrate David with A Night of Stardust! Net proceeds from the concert will benefit the Cancer Center at CHOP, in David Bowie's memory.
Just like the past three years, the cast for A Night of Stardust is amazing, featuring some of the best local artists in the Philly/NYC/NJ area. As MANY of you know, last year the show had several amazing special guests such as ex-Bowie Lead guitarist: Earl Slick (official)
& ex- Bowie producer, rhythm guitarist, bassist and music director Mark Plati
, Phoebe Legere
(NYC), Ari Rubin from MINKA
, James Michael Baker from (Oolala & Johnny Showcase) and Richard Bush
. Fun Fact: Phoebe Legere was hand selected by Bowie himself to open dates for his Sound & Vision tour!
Dan Kauffman (Glim Dropper)
Lance Davis (Grady Hoss & The Sidewinders
on drums, Keith Giosa
on keys, Vahe Sarkissian
on guitar, Mark Teague on guitar, Joe Grillo on sax, and Richard Ratner on bass.
Main Light Industries
is sponsoring the event with amazing light show fit for a true Bowie experience. Gregory Shelton
is extremely excited to once again produce this pinnacle event for Philly Loves Bowie Week.
Doors open at 7:00pm — show begins at 8:00 pm — be sure to arrive early as we will be hosting a silent auction in the Union Transfer lobby and get a Bowie Bolt painted on your face, body — wherever! 100% of the proceeds from both the silent auction and face painting will also go to the BOWIE/CHOP fund!
