Not Your Mother’s Music Festival is an event to bring people together for a day of music and celebration of community and the arts. A progressive coming together of music, entertainment, extreme sports, and spiritual wellness, this festival will shine new light on the amazing little city that is Gloucester City and all it has to offer to residents and visitors alike.
Proceeds to benefit The Sara James Music Foundation and Neighbors United 501c(3)non-profit organizations. All proceeds to The Sara James Music Foundation will be earmarked for under-serviced Gloucester City kids and teens to recei...ve free professional music lessons. All proceeds to Neighbors United will go towards the purchase and remediation of a community center in Gloucester City, for kids, teens, and families to receive educational programming, meal services, and arts and music programming.
Activities will include: Music from local artists and national artists on two stages, over 150 art and craft vendors, healthy and fun food truck vendors, professional BMX and skateboarding demonstrations, Meditation and Yoga with live music, Wellness Avenue for holistic and energy healing vendors, super charged kid’s zone with crafts, kid’s entertainers, art workshops, and bounce house amusements, Beer Garden and Wine Tastings, local food vendors, and a Ferris Wheel with amazing views of the festival, the Delaware River, and the Philadelphia Skyline.
Eight national touring bands will pair up with seven local bands on two stages, providing a fun and upbeat soundtrack to the event. Official line-up to be announced in March.
VIP Experience: The NYMMF All-Access VIP Pass includes: Access to "Front Row" Area for Headlining Bands, VIP Lounge with catered munchies, Meet and Greet with the Bands, NYMMF Merchandise Bundle with Poster, T-Shirt, Commemorative Pint Glass, VIP Lanyard, and Admission to the Not Your Mother's Beer Garden.
Celebrity Guests and Speakers: We are excited to welcome Russell Newberry from the Discovery Channel’s television series, The Deadliest Catch, as a celebrity guest. Festival patrons will have multiple opportunities throughout the day to meet Russell as he makes his way around to the various festival activities. Stay tuned as we will be adding other celebrity guests to the event.
Beer & Wine Garden: Local microbreweries and local brand sponsors will be teaming up with some of the best local wineries in our Not Your Mother’s Beer Garden. There will be a fee for admission that will include tickets for food tastings from local restaurants.
Morning Yoga Class on the Pier: Tickets can be purchased, in advance from our website, for patrons to participate in a beautifully orchestrated yoga and meditation gathering prior to the start of the festival. This will include live music and a professional instructor. Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothing and bring a blanket or mat. Tickets will include admission to the Not Your Mother’s Beer Garden as well as a drink ticket for use during festival hours.
Run Amuck Kid Zone: For children and families we offer a super charged, gated, kids area with plenty of activities to keep the little’s busy all day. Bounce houses, tie dye workshop, wellness themed crafts, DJ dance party, magicians, petting zoo, and exercise for a prize contests will keep kids busy and entertained throughout the day. Fun and healthy food options will be available to families and the Run Amuck Kid Zone will be free with wristbands that will be distributed by local business sponsors and schools. Admission is $5 for patrons without wristband.
Ferris Wheel: Our 75-foot Ferris Wheel will take you soaring high above the park and the festival. Take a bird’s eye view of the festival, the history laden town of Gloucester City, the beautiful Delaware River, The Walt Whitman Bridge, and the Philadelphia skyline. All festival patrons may enjoy this ride at no cost.
Professional BMX and Skateboard Demonstrations provided by AGA Nation with three shows throughout the day.
